A Heidingsfeld Heller of Charles IV or a Hungarian Denier of Wenceslas III?
The article deals with a small two-sided coin bearing the images of a crown and a lion, which was until recently considered to be a heller of Charles IV from the Heidingsfeld Mint in Bohemian Palatinate. Based on the analyses of its metrological parameters, occurrence in the coins finds and auctions, and iconography, the authors conclude the coin is a Hungarian denier of King Wenceslas III (crowned under the name Ladislaus V in Hungary).
