Centroscelis kadleci sp. nov. from Yemen is described and illustrated. Geographical distribution of the Afrotropical genus Centroscelis Chevrolat, 1836 is extended to the southernmost part of the Arabian Peninsula. Lectotype is designated for Chrysomela decempustulata Thunberg, 1787. Centroscelis inenarrabilis Vogel, 1871 (with its synonyms C. trifibulata Vogel, 1871, C. bisquinquepustulata Vogel, 1871, C. nigripennis Achard, 1924 and C. quatuordecimmaculata Achard, 1924) is proposed as a new synonym of C. decempustulatus (Thunberg, 1787), comb. nov.
