The journal Public Opinion was published by the Czechoslovak Institute of Public Opinion Research between August 1946 and January 1948. At that time, it was the only journal of its subject in Europe. It was aimed at both professionals and public. Contributions of Czech and foreign authors focused on theoretical concepts and methodology of public opinion research. Many articles dealt with practical research questions, especially the work of questioners. The journal published results of Czechoslovak, foreign and international surveys. International cooperation and profiles of prominent European institutions featured in the journal. Surveys included following topics: newsreel, radio listening, cinema attendance. Analyses of daily papers concerning political issues, sports and culture were also published.
