Summary of records of the northern raccoon in north-western Bohemia (Karlovy Vary region and adjacent part of the Ústí nad Labem region) obtained since the year 2000 is presented. According to the collected published and unpublished records and data from hunting reports, raccoon occurrence was confirmed in 16 squares of the KFME mapping grid. This represents an increase of 400 percent, compared to the situation described for a similar region before the year 2009. Number of records and their spatial distribution indicate that the Doupovské hory Mts. represent the core area of raccoon distribution and that the population in north-western Bohemia possibly originates from immigrants coming from Saxony across the Krušné hory (Ore) Mts.
