Contribution to mineralogy of the base metals ore deposit Plánička - Stříbrník near Klatovy in SW Bohemia (Czech Republic) The ore occurrence Plánička - Stříbrník, ESE from Klatovy (SW Bohemia, Czech Republic) represents a small deposit of Ag-bearing base metals ores. It was mined from the second half of the 13th century to the first half of the 15th century. In the quartz gangue, beside galena and sphalerite, small aggregates of Zn-dominant and Ag-poor tetrahedrite were found. The finding of a native silver aggregate (up to 6 mm in size) supports the theory that Ag there was bound in mined ore as a native metal (or eventually as acanthite). Consequently, galena with associated tetrahedrite does not represent any Ag-bearing components of ore mineralization.
