The lecture by Prof. MgA Marek Jícha, which took place at the National Museum in Prague on September 6, 2023, under the title “Digitization in Memory Institutions”, focused on the methodological approaches to digitizing analog cinematographic records and providing information to the professional community regarding the methodological procedures associated with digitization in this field. There are three basic methods of digitization: Line scan technology, Area scan technology, and Photographic scan technology. Certified methodologies are available that cover these three approaches as guidelines for digitizers and digital restorers. This includes a set of seven Methodics of Digital restored Autorizate, resulting in a digitally restored master (DRA), as well as a Methodology for digitizing analog film records using a trick projector and a digital camera, developed as part of research projects at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
