One pregnant female together with two adult males of the pond bat, Myotis dasycneme, were captured at a water channel of the Morava river in Veselí nad Moravou (SE Moravia), giving the first direct evidence of reproduction of this species in the Czech Republic. This record extends the known area of reproduction of the species in the Pannonian Basin towards northwest. A new summer record of the lesser mouse-eared bat, Myotis blythii, is reported from the Bílé Karpaty Biosphere Reserve. Two individuals (one adult male) were caught at a small pond in the beech forest near Velká nad Veličkou.
