Fragments of quartzite with Alpine-type veins were found in the dump material of the Olověná Adit in the Zlaté Hory Ore District. Alpine-type veins in question consist mainly of quartz with minor albite, chlorite (clinochlore), muscovite, rutile (with up to 4.16 wt. % of WO3), apatite-(CaF) and sulphides. Sulphide minerals include in decreasing order of relative abundance: pyrite, galena, chalcopyrite, and sphalerite. Asphalt-like black hard hydrocarbone was found in cavities and it even replaces albite! It is quite possible that the origin of the studied Alpine-type mineralisation is connected with fluids derived from Lower Carboniferous formations of siliciclastics outcropping east of the Zlaté Hory ore district.
