With a financial help of the Czech Ministry of Culture (project NAKI), and in co-operation with the National Heritage Institute and the Czech National Library the Department of Castle Libraries of the National Museum Library has started a new catalogue of 16th century prints in its holding. Only about 3 to 8% of the prints (from that period) may be anticipated to be truly unique; therefore, more interesting will be the study of individual books, mainly their provenance. As a small example, the library of the castle of Rájec nad Svitavou holds three books of highly interesting provenance, among them Hieronymus Wolf's private copy of his complete edition of Demosthenes from about the year 1549. (Hieronymus Wolf, 1516–1580, was a German linguist and professor at the gymnasium at Augsburg.)
