Behind the Scenes of the New Natural Science Exhibitions at the National Museum

The modernly designed natural history exhibitions “The Miracles of Evolution” and “Windows into Prehistory” convey fascinating story of evolution and interesting facts about extant nature around us as well as million years ago. The preparation and realization of these exhibits took several years and involved dozens of employees of the museum and more than a hundred of supplier companies. Due to the long-term nature of the exhibitions, some stages of preparation and realization were carried out differently compared to traditional short-term exhibitions. The article describes the experience of managing different approaches, evaluates their strengths and weaknesses and offers the inspiration for preparation of new exhibition projects.
