A Conservation Approach to the Installation of Sculptural Works in Museums: Interdisciplinary Practice and Implementation
The article addresses the installation and presentation of sculptural works in museum exhibitions, focusing on material-specific requirements, climatic conditions, restoration interventions, and structural solutions. Special attention is given to fragmentary objects, ethical aspects of display, including the use of replicas, and practical procedures for installing plaster, stone, and ancient artifacts. Drawing on examples from the National Museum collections, the text highlights the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in preparing sculptures for exhibition.
