Mineralogy of iron ores at the historical deposit Horní Hoštice in the Rychlebské hory Mts. (Czech Republic) Two types of iron ores were studied on the historical deposit at Horní Hoštice in the Rychlebské hory Mts. (eastern part of the Orlica-Śnieżnik Dome): (1) quartz-magnetite(±hematite) ores with accessory garnet (Alm80-88), and (2) carbonate-magnetite ores with abundant Ca-amphiboles and grünerite. Magnetite in the both ore types is often altered to maghemite and slightly martitized. The ores are interpreted as metamorphosed ferrolite of sedimentary or exhalativesedimentary origin.
