The ninth excavation season of the Archaeological Expedition to Wad Ben Naga focused on the continued excavations of the temple complex of the Typhonium, begun in 2011, the continued conservation and related re-excavation of the Palace of Queen Amanishakheto and the excavation of two tumuli at the cemetery WBN C200. The archaeological works at the Typhonium brought forth numerous discoveries including fragments of statues, Roman imperial coins and pieces of jewellery.
