A notable amount of transcriptions of traditional songs and folk music were gathered during preparations for the Czechoslavic Ethnographic Exhibition. About 1800 of these song transcriptions originate from Bohemia. One of these interesting and yet unpublished collections is the Joseph Jareš collection which contains songs from Říčany and Sázava region. Its value is based especially on the fact that it documents a region close to Prague which used to be more or less neglected by other collectors. The collection contains 40 sings, 3 melodies and other texts.
