Acta Entomologica Musei Nationalis Pragae | 2015/55/1

A new species, Synchroa formosana sp. nov., is described from Taiwan, representing the fi rst occurrence of the family Synchroidae Lacordaire, 1859 in Taiwan; ecological information is provided. In addition, the new species is included in a key to the world fauna of Synchroidae.
