During the study of the collection of medieval glass in the depositary of the National Museum in Terezín, Hedvika Sedláčková noticed two cards to which glass fragments were attached with thin metal wire. They were lying on top of the box full of uncatalogued fragments marked to be thrown away. After dismantling, cleaning, and documenting the fragments, it was revealed, to much surprise, that one of the fragments belonged to a cage cup, considered a masterpiece of ancient glasswork. The other three fragments of glass vessels also came from ancient times, and other one was the bottom part of a Gothic Bohemian-type beaker. This article focuses on describing these fragments, interpretating them, and hypothesising their possible journey to the National Museum.
