The chronology aims at reflection of major historical events concerning Czech media: press, radio and television. It describes management of journalism and developments in its organization. Data are made up of excerpts from specialized literature based on authentic source material and from periodicals of the times. Chronology starts at 1900 and ends with 2008. For reasons of space, the contribution does not comprise portraits of leading journalists.
