Acta Entomologica Musei Nationalis Pragae | 2012/52/2

A new species of the genus Atarphia Reitter, 1884, A. cincta sp. nov., from continental China (provinces Jiangxi, Shaanxi and Sichuan) and Taiwan is described and compared with the closely related allopatric species A. quadripunctata Reitter, 1884 from the Far East of Russia and Japan. Precise locality data of A. fasciculata Reitter, 1884 from China are presented, and A. quadripunctata is excluded from the list of Chinese fauna. A key to Atarphia species is also provided.
