Pilates is an exercise method developed by Joseph H. Pilates in the 1920‘s. It focuses on connecting body and mind through mindful movement, proper breathing techniques and strengthening the deep stabilising muscles.
The Pilates classes at the Ethnographic Museum are led by Alexandra Gálová, a certified Pilates and yoga instructor with more than 15 years of experience in movement, wellbeing and mindfulness. Her approach combines the precision of Pilates with mindful movement, breathwork and the fluidity of yoga.
Her classes focus on healthy posture, strengthening the deep core, mobility, balance and an overall sense of vitality and harmony. Throughout her career, she has worked with leading Prague hotels and companies as well as private clients. In addition to regular classes, she has been developing her own wellbeing concepts focusing on mindful movement, longevity, and cultivating both body and mind.
Classes are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced participants and can be taught in Czech, Slovak and English.
