Yugoslavian Banknotes in the Changes of Time and Ideology. Dinar Banknotes of the 1955 and 1963 Issues and of the So-Called New Dinar Series of 1965–1986. (Part I).

The establishment of the Federal People’s Republic of Yugoslavia in 1945 was inextricably linked also with the introduction of new federal banknotes and the search for their new visual form and content that would reflect the changing times and suit the incoming socialist era. The article examines the genesis and meaning of the motifs chosen and analyses them in the light of the new state ideology.
