Uranophane from uranium deposit Chotěboř, NE from Havlíčkův Brod (Czech Republic) Uranophane has newly been described from uranium deposit at Chotěboř near Havlíčkův Brod (Czech Republic). It occurs as deep yellow solid aggregates maximum 1 cm3 large and also as earthy pulverulent mass and less abundant pale yellow needle-like tiny crystals. (Meta)-autunite and relics of strongly corroded uraninite from which secondary uranium minerals originated were also identified together with uranophane which was proved by XRD.
