One new species of lace bug (Heteroptera, Tingidae), Phymacysta stysi sp. nov., is described from the Miocene Dominican amber, and its relationships are discussed. It belongs to the extant Neotropical genus Phymacysta Monte, 1942. A key of Phymacysta species including the new species and the fossil species of Leptopharsa Stål, 1873, from Dominican amber is given.
