This study examines the use of oral history in Czech museums, focusing on the processes of collecting, preserving, and presenting witness testimonies. It demonstrates that oral history enriches historical interpretation and strengthens the educational and community-oriented functions of museums. The research identifies differences in institutional approaches, particularly between large and small museums, and highlights the need for methodological standardisation and ethical frameworks. Although traditional exhibitions and publications predominate, the potential of multimedia remains untapped. The study emphasises the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and modern technologies for preserving and communicating intangible heritage and recognises oral history as a key tool for fostering public engagement and cultural continuity.
