M. Dragoun describes 126 codexes of the collection of National Museum Library. The most important manuscripts are e.g. the Codex of Bautzen with one of the oldest preserved version of the Cosmas Chronica Boemorum and the group of manuscripts by notable personalities of the husite era (Jan Hus, Jakoubek ze Stříbra, Petr Chelčický and others). The book is of higly scientific character, composed according to the actual rules of manuscripts description. Most of the described manuscripts originate from two private collections. The persons of the former owners - Otakar Kruliš-Randa and Eduard Langer are presented in the introductory word. The book has complete indexes and an English version of the introductory study.
