The exhibition guide Kings of the Sun presents the most important topics and objects connected with the exhibition. The locality Abusir, which has been excavated by the Czech (former Czechoslovak) Institute of Egyptology FA CU for sixty years, and its link to the so-called kings of the sun is introduced. Furthermore, the publication focuses on the gods and rulers that are attested in this locality. It also describes local royal mortuary complexes and sun temples. Included are members of royal family, predominantly the princesses, as well as significant officials. Last but not least, it outlines the development of Abusir in the course of time.
