The largest female Nazi concentration camp on German territory was created in 1939 near the village of Ravensbrück, 90 km north of Berlin. Dancer, choreographer and costume designer Nina Jirsíková spent almost four years there. She described her experiences in Memoirs of a Dancer and she revealed “everyday life” in a concentration camp in 71 expressive drawings, published in this book.
