Móda v kruhu času. Retro – 200 let inspirací

Retro is the new modern. But what is considered as retro? This narrative publication approaches the theme in an unconventional way and shows the ongoing recurrences of fashion that doesn’t include only pieces from the last half of century; thus the period that is commonly associated with the term retro. Reader is rather put into a relatively recent times – the socialist period of Czechoslovakia – as well as the admired First Republic of Czechoslovakia, the 19th century and even the distant Orient. It shows the relation between historical and modern clothing, known from the current catalogues. Readers can look forward to historical clothing and accessories from the National Museum, timeless elements, temporary trends, the clothing of famous people, traditional Czech brands and the production of major designers.
