Czech-Slovak Exhibition / Slovak-Czech Exhibition

The impressive publication presents more than 150 major items displayed at Czech-Slovak / Slovak-Czech Exhibition. The book opens with introductory words of National Museum’s and Slovak National Museum’s CEOs (as the representatives of the chief organisers of the event) and two thematic studies by major historians –Jan Rychlík, for the Czech part, and Dušan Kováč for the Slovak part. The most important documents of the Exhibition that fundamentally influenced the existence of the First Czechoslovak Republic (i.e., the foundation of the state as well as its destruction in 1938) provide an introduction to a part of the exhibits. Subsequently, the Catalogue structures the items on display based on Exhibition’s themes; the representation of each exhibit is complete with a brief story of the object.
