Attractive publication with more than 100 full-colour photographs describes culture, folk traditions, but also natural environment and literary tradition of Czech century immigrant community living for almost 200 years in 6 remote mountain villages on Romanian-Serbian border. The book is result of fieldwork of experts from the National Museum conducted in 2007–2009 and presents in detail multifaceted phenomena of "Czech Banat" with special emphasis on traditional agriculture and subsistence, traditional cuisine, folk crafts, vernacular housing and architecture, folk costumes, folk art, traditional customs and festivities.
