The archive study room is located on the left side of the first floor of the Náprstek Museum building (No. 269 Halánkův dům), Betlémské nám. 1, Prague 1.
Collections
The main collection is that of the museum’s founder, Vojta Náprstek, and his family. In addition, the archive primarily contains the personal collections of prominent Czech explorers and scientists, mostly ethnographers, as well as notable figures from the Czech diaspora. Collections of associations and institutions are represented to a much lesser extent. The archive also houses two extensive archival collections. These are the Krajanství collection, which contains materials documenting the lives of Czechs living abroad, and the Scrapbooks collection, comprising 320 volumes of clippings. Most of the archival material is unprocessed.
