Four individuals of the bi-coloured white-toothed shrew (Crocidura leucodon) were found from February 10 till September 29, 2003 in Sedlečko and Andělská Hora near Karlovy Vary (western Bohemia, Czech Republic). In spite of several faunistic studies, this species had never been found in the Karlovy Vary region. This new record of C. leucodon may be a part of evidence of the species’ recent expansion in the Czech Republic.
