Research on small terrestrial mammals was carried out in different localities, some of them under statute of the nature reserve (Balinka valley, Rasuveň, Mrázkova loučka meadow) and remaining considered to be applied for (Dědkovská hora hill, Zátoky). The small mammal communities found were of natural character. Material included 351 small mammals belonging to 11 species. Clethrionomys glareolus, Apodemus sylvaticus and Sorex araneus were present in all the localities. Microtus agrestis was found in all wet habitats of nature-like plant societes (4 localities). These are new findings of M. agrestis in this region.
