The aim of the treatise is to summarise in an informative overview all known printed books with ownership bookbindings of the bishop of Olomouc Stanislav II Pavlovský (+1598) preserved in the CzechRepublic. It leaves aside manuscripts and official books. It pays particular attention to Pavlovský’s heraldic supralibros, among which two basic types can be distinguished: before 1588, i.e. before the improvement of Pavlovský’s coat of arms, and after 1588, with his coat of arms already improved. Currently, 31 items have been identified (30 early printed books from the 16th century and 1 incunabulum), which are located in different libraries, mostly in the Research Library in Olomouc. This article is the first component output of broader research. The books from Pavlovský’s property that have been preserved in Poland, particularly in the Wroclaw University Library, will be the subject of the author’s further research.
