The poetry written by Emmy Destinn remains understandably in the shadow of her great career as a singer. She wrote poems be- tween 1893 and 1929, a longer period than those devoted to any of her other activities, such as, e. g., wrtiting novels and drama. The poems reveal an important glimpse into her emotional life. While she edited and published only one book of poems (Sturm und Ruhe, 1902) during her lifetime, dozens of individual, uncollected poems remained scattered throughout her private manuscripts and copies. Some of them have been published occasionally in journals and newspapers, in memorabilia and in the form of selections from her archives. The present paper finds traces of all available poems published; it orders them into periods and publishes some unknown poems from manuscripts.
