The paper deals with the history of the castle library of Český Krumlov after the death of the childless Marie Ernestine von Schwarzenberg (1719), when the Eggenberg property in Bohemia was inherited by her nephew, Adam Franz von Schwarzenberg (1680–1732). It investigates the 1813 and 1820 inventory of the Castle of Český Krumlov. Combining the library of Český Krumlov with the library brought in from the Vienna Palace in the middle of the 19th century, the library needed a larger room. Part of it was moved to today ́s Mirror Room of the Český Krumlov palace, part was moved to the new palace at Hluboká. In 1930 part of the Krumlov library was moved to the former Burggraf Palace.
