RNDr. Jan Ježek, CSc., celebrates seventy years of age in 2015. His whole professional career was tied to the Department of Entomology at the National Museum in Prague, where he worked as a researcher and curator of the Diptera collection during 1967–2011. He is known specialist on the Diptera families Tabanidae and Psychodidae.
