The monogram documents rich scientific and artistic work of Czech painter, folklorist and writer Ludvík Kuba (1863–1956). Complicated graphic, collecting and literary work of this bearer of title „National Artist“ is not only ethnographically analyzed, but also compared with various collection items from Ethnographical Collection of the National Museum and ethnographical phenomena docummented by contemporary fieldwork.
